Sam

Managing Director

Build 2.0 was founded by proud Wellingtonian and staunch Hurricanes supporter, Sam Kortegast. With 19 years in the industry, he has a proven track record in delivering residential builds and developments across the Wellington region, combining deep local knowledge with a passion for creating quality homes.

Tim

Site Foreman

Tim brings a strong work ethic, practical mindset and unwavering drive for excellence to Build 2.0. Drawing on his background in professional sport and years of residential construction experience, he's known for his initiative, sharp problem-solving skills and dedication to delivering high-quality results.

Joe

Qualified Builder

Joe is a hardworking young builder who's usually the first on site, the last to leave and the one making everyone laugh in between. He’s never afraid to roll up his sleeves, takes real pride in a job well done and somehow manages to keep the banter flowing while the work gets done.

Favourite smoko: Big Brekkie with an iced coffee.

Ethan

Qualified Builder

Ethan is working toward his project management qualification and brings valuable hands-on experience to the team. Formerly a Head Mechanic at Ford, he's detail-orientated, calm under pressure and committed to doing the job right. His mechanical eye and quality-first mindset make him an essential part of the crew.

Dan

Apprentice

Dan is a third-year apprentice who's really coming into his own. With a genuine passion for building, he’s quickly stepping up on site and taking on tasks with growing confidence. Known for his strong work ethic, reliability and trustworthiness, Dan is not only a solid team player but also an integral part of the crew’s future.

Luke

Apprentice

Luke recently graduated with a degree in Architecture from Victoria University and is keen to get hands-on experience on site. A quick learner with a fresh perspective, he's already proving to be a solid asset to the team.

Favourite smoko: Chicken Kebab with a Lewis Road choccy milk.

Evie

Experienced Site Dog

You'll sometimes find our fluffiest team member on site. Most likely to be found napping in a sunny corner or sticking close to her owner, Sam.

Favourite smoko: A couple of dollops of Greek yoghurt and more recently, sliced apple, but will hoover absolutely anything!
