Alexander Kramer Apartments, Paraparaumu Beach
The Alexander Kramer complex is one of Build 2.0’s most ambitious and rewarding developments. This project combines architecturally designed luxury townhouses, modern apartments and retail spaces in the heart of Paraparaumu Beach. Managed from the ground up by the Build 2.0 team, this mixed-use development was designed to deliver high-quality living and commercial opportunities in a prime coastal location.
Build 2.0's company director owned the land and managed the project from the ground up. The vision was clear from day one: to create a high-quality, secure, mixed-use complex. Bringing together one, two and three-bedroom apartments, four-bedroom townhouses with lifts and retail or office spaces at street level. We knew parking was a must so we integrated 16 secure, undercover carparks below the apartment blocks.
Our expertise in foundations, engineering and residential construction is showcased in the quality build we delivered to the market place. We configured the buildings to maximise natural light and positioned decks and courtyards to make the most of the coastal outlook, some with sweeping sea views of Kāpiti Island. Apartment construction & project management
Each apartment was designed for comfort and convenience, with open-plan living, high-spec kitchens, quality fixtures and fittings, and heat pumps for year-round climate control. Whether it’s a sunny courtyard or a private balcony, every unit has its own outdoor space.
This was a complex build with many moving parts: structural requirements, multiple dwelling types, commercial fitouts and tight logistics. Add COVID delays into the mix, and it was a real test of our systems and teamwork. But with the right people around us, we delivered it all on time and within budget.

The layout includes six freehold townhouses at the rear of the site, each with internal lifts, and four apartment blocks above the carpark, offering 16 beautifully finished apartments and two commercial units at the front.
