1. Enquiry
Your journey begins when you reach out. Whether by phone, email, social media or through our website enquiry form, we’re ready to listen and help you get started.
2. Discovery
We’ll dive deep into your project’s full scope, discussing ideas, budget and timeline to ensure we’re the right fit for you. Our goal is to fully understand your vision so we can deliver the best possible outcome.
3. Site Meeting
We’ll meet you at your build site to gain a clearer picture of your needs and make sure every plan aligns with your vision. This step lays the foundation for smooth and effective planning.
4. Design Meeting
This is where your design begins to take shape. We’ll meet with your architect, or introduce you to a trusted architect we recommend, to set the concept and direction. Once you’re happy, we help develop detailed plans ready for your approval.
5. Proposal & Budget
We present a clear, transparent proposal with a full budget breakdown. This helps you understand where your investment goes and make confident, informed decisions.

6. Interior Selection
Together, we lock in your interior finishes, fixtures and fittings, bringing your personal style to life within your budget. We’re happy to recommend an interior designer to help you choose colours and details you’ll love.
7. Final Proposal
We share the final proposal and budget, answer any questions and confirm you’re ready to move forward. This final check gives you peace of mind before construction begins.
8. Contract Approval
Once you’re happy with the proposal, we finalise the contract, arrange required approvals and confirm a detailed project timeline. You’ll have 24/7 access to all project details through our online portal.
9. Construction Begins
The build is underway! We keep your project on track with regular check-ins, including fortnightly email updates outlining progress, upcoming schedules and next steps. Monthly finance reviews ensure budgets and variations are clear. All decisions and updates are carefully tracked in our project register to ensure clear communication and steady progress. Our rigorous quality control processes ensure your home is crafted to the highest standard.

As an NZCB-approved builder, Build 2.0 clients are eligible to apply for the Halo 10-Year Residential Guarantee. This is one of New Zealand’s most comprehensive building guarantees, providing much greater protection than both the Building Act and Consumer Guarantees Act. It protects your investment from the moment you sign your building contract and gives you long-term confidence in the quality and durability of your home. Regardless of what happens in the future, your Halo Guarantee will be there to protect your housing investment and help you for the next 10 years following completion of your build. You’re covered for:
Loss of deposit
Non-completion, including remedial work
Materials and workmanship for two years after building work is complete
Structural defects for the next eight years from Guarantee Acceptance, including rot and fungal decay (weathertightness)
Up to 26 weeks alternative accommodation expenses while the house is being repaired
Automatically transferable when the home is sold, giving any new owners protection too
